About me
Hi, my name's Laurence. I'm a Bexhill based, NICEIC registered, City and Guild qualified electrician. I specialise in domestic electrical work but do also work on commercial properties. I operate as a sole trader and therefore I offer very competitive rates.
I chose to focus on residential work because I am passionate about helping people. I do this by working to the highest professional standard and treating every job as if it were in my own home. My job satisfaction comes from problem solving to make my clients lives easier, and their homes safer, more comfortable and more aesthetically pleasing.
No job too big, no job too small - from changing a switch to rewiring homes.
I am the proud father of 2 sons (which is where my company name comes from) and a devoted husband.
As I'm City and Guild qualified and NICEIC registered I'm up to speed with the very latest regulations, industry standards and best practice guides. I also have £2 million public liability insurance and I’m covered by the NICEIC “Platinum Promise” for peace of mind.
As I was originally a builder and then a commissioning engineer, I can also provide services such as carpentry, plastering, plumbing, brickwork, tiling and damp proofing. This means I can fully complete a job.
I have a 1st class mechanical engineering degree from Sussex University. As an engineer I travelled the world building bridges, working on many interesting projects like Venice's flood defences – but I missed my family and enjoy working on residential properties. I bring my engineering education and experience to my role as an electrician, for example, I am skilled at locating hard to find faults in circuits which translates into value for money for my clients and job satisfaction for me.
For larger projects like extensions and loft conversions I can recommend builders and other trades as needed.
Give me a ring on 07748 805526 and we can talk through your job or project.
