Consumer Units

I install type A RCBO Consumer Units with Surge Protection to protect clients and their property.

Type A RCBOs are safer and more future proof than the AC types because they are designed to function with DC leakage. DC leakage is becoming more common and comes from modern devices such as LED lights.

Surge Protection protects modern sensitive electronics in anything from PCs to combi boilers from transient overvoltages. Transient overvoltages are produced by a variety of sources including nearby lightning strikes, heat pump motors and washing machines.

The photo below is of the consumer unit on the main page with its cover removed so you can see the wiring. It’s typical of the type of unit I install. I installed it in the clients 2 bed flat.
